33,000 Km Accroché à un bout de bois

Book Design

33,000 KM – Attached to a Piece of Wood tells the story of Giorgio’s extraordinary journey around the world on his wooden bicycle. He envisioned the book as both a personal record of his adventure and a way to showcase the stunning photography he captured along the way.

Designed as a travel journal, each entry documents a single day on the road, inviting the reader to experience the journey step by step. To help orient the reader throughout the book, I incorporated the total distance traveled alongside the page number, as well as the distance traveled each day and GPS coordinates of Giorgio’s location at the start of each entry. These small details reinforce the scale of the journey while grounding each story in a specific place and moment.

This project was an absolute joy to bring to life, a thoughtful balance of storytelling, structure, and visual space that allows both the words and photographs to shine.

This project brought together book design, photography, and personal storytelling to create a travel journal that feels expansive, intimate, and easy to follow. Every design choice, from the page structure to the distance markers and GPS coordinates was created to help readers move through Giorgio’s journey one day at a time while giving his photographs the space to shine.
