I’m Sophia, a trained medical illustrator and graphic designer, born in Chicago and based in Scotland.

I graduated from the University of Dundee with a Master’s in Medical Art, and my background also includes Graphic Design, Biology, and French. My work has focused mainly on education in science and medicine and I have more than a decade of combined experience in fine art, medical art, graphic design, and science communication,

It’s been a wild, rewarding journey getting my business off the ground and learning the ropes as a medical illustrator. I’ve reached a point where I’m so eager to pay that knowledge forward. Whether you’re a fellow artist, a small business owner, or someone looking to break into this field, I’m here to help make your work more efficient and enjoyable.

This journal is where I’ll share snippets of my life as a medical illustrator, works-in-progress, project case studies, medical art history and some of my creative personal projects. I LOVE working as a medical artist and this space is a place where I get to blab about it!
